BUYING PROCEDURE

When purchasing a property in Spain you need to consider adding the relevant property legal taxes to your budget.

When deciding your budget allow 10-12% on top of the property purchase cost, which will include IVA of 8% (equivalent to UK VAT). Payable at each stage of the payment structure.

Solicitors, Notary, Land Registry Fees all payable at the completion stage. When you have found the perfect property you will be required to pay a deposit of 3000 euros to secure that property at the agreed price.

Co-Ownership

Mortgages are very much the same as in the UK. You will need to supply the bank with the original documents.

Employed:
Passport or driving license
Last 3 months payslips
(include latest P60)

Self Employed:
Last 3 years of accounts, tax returns sometimes an accountant´s reference.

You will also require a bank account and NIE (which is covered under our services).
  Why not purchase with family or friends, a simple way to buy a holiday home/investment without outlaying the full cost.
